Mobile: The Mobile and Device team leads the evolution of the rapidly changing non-PC ecosystems. It focuses on delivering solutions that enable carriers and operators, handset manufacturers, consumer electronic device manufacturers, and mobile designers and developers to differentiate their products and build new businesses. MDBU focuses on Flashand PDF-based solutions to create compelling experiences on any non PC device with a screen.
This is a very young and new team in the Bangalore Engineering Center.
Areas of work include development of technologies and products on a variety of mobile platforms, like Symbian, WinCE, Palm and Linux.
eLearning
Captivate: Adobe Captivate is an eLearning application for building software and soft skill simulations. Captivate automatically records all onscreen actions and instantly creates an interactive Flash simulation. Point and click to add text captions, narration, and e-learning interactions without any programming knowledge. Captivate provides a rich interface for capturing/authoring and publishing engaging simulations. The product helps build quizzes and integration of the content with learning management systems.
Areas of work include building features image editing, audio editing, video capturing, LMS, SWF publishing modules.
Director/Shockwave: Adobe Director is the proven multimedia authoring tool for professionals. Director combines broad media support for media types, ease of use, highperformance, and an infinitely extendible development environment to deliver rich content and applications for CDs, DVDs, kiosks, and the Internet. Director MX 2004 offers powerful new features, including two scripting languages, DVD-Video support, cross-platform publishing, and Flash MX 2004 integration.
Areas of work include 3D graphics, audio, video modules and a rich authoring environment.

With ColdFusion MX 7, we’ve added structured business reporting, dynamic PDF and FlashPaper generation, Flash Forms, mobile SMS and Instant Messaging (IM) app capabilities, compiled native Java byte-code EAR/WAR application deployment, and much more to ColdFusion’s capabilities, and the response from customers around the world has blown us away.
A significant portion of the ColdFusion work happens out of the Bangalore office.
Flex: The Flex product line delivers a standards-based programming methodology and runtime services for developing and deploying the presentation tier of applications that combine the richness of the desktop with the reach of the web: Rich Internet Applications.
Areas of work include architecting and building the components for the Flex Application Framework.
The Bangalore team works on well-known products from the Adobe Web Bundle such as Flash Professional and Fireworks targeted at the creative professional.
Fireworks: Fireworks lets you balance maximum image quality with minimum compression size as you create, edit and optimize images for the web with precise control.
The Bangalore team has complete ownership for the Fireworks product.
