Extending their circle of focus beyond innovation and excellence, Adobe employees are responsive to the needs of the less fortunate and marginalized communities. Adobe employees recognize the importance of corporate volunteerism for the socio-economic development of the communities. Employee volunteer groups at Adobe are known as “Adobe in Action” committees. Our employees, according to their interests and skills, nominate themselves for various volunteering activities throughout the year. Employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and efforts in rebuilding the communities in the neighborhood.
Both our R&D sites at Noida and Bangalore have Adobe in Action committees.
“We have been making significant contributions to the local causes, but there is always more to do in order to make an even more meaningful impact towards the development and growth of the communities where we operate. At Adobe volunteering is not a program but a movement, and I am proud of the fact that our employees are passionate about community development and actively engage in volunteer programs”, says Dr. Naresh Gupta, Managing Director, Adobe India.
Our employee volunteers actively engage with communities to provide meaningful support. We organize technical training camps at government schools in Noida and Bangalore. We also invite underprivileged children to our campus to spend a day with us. A few story telling sessions, a game of carom or antakshari, help in solving a sum or a computer problem, or simply spending some carefree time is all that takes to bring smiles to the faces of underprivileged children. In India, Adobe in Action committee members frequently organize various internal campaigns for collection of food and clothes for those in need and, books and toys for poor children.
