Adobe and its employees always step up in times of need. As a responsible corporate citizen Adobe has always extended its support to the communities in case of crisis and natural calamities.
Tsunami Relief Program- Adobe Systems & Employees donated Over US$700,000 for Tsunami rehabilitation.
In the hour of need Adobe (and its employees) stood by the survivors and contributed toward rebuilding communities and lives. The situation required significant repair and reconstruction.
Providing livelihood opportunities to fishermen assumed critical importance as they were the worst hit by the disaster. Twenty fiber-reinforced plastic boats and nets were donated (catered to 100 families in the fishing communities) in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu in Southern India. The first year's insurance coverage for these boats was also paid by Adobe.
A dilapidated school was also reconstructed and furnished for the benefit of the youth in the community.
Bihar Flood relief Program – Through the implementation partner, GOONJ Adobe donated US$100,000 for the Bihar flood relief program called “VAAPSI”
This program aims at providing livelihood kits to the local people to move forward and start making a living. The grant would support more than 2,500 poor families in the flood affected areas.
Apart from the corporate grant, employees in India donated loads of relief material and cash grant of 7 lakhs including the matching grant from Adobe.
Payroll donation program
The program provides an opportunity for employees to support a cause/charity by directly contributing from their payroll. Adobe respects the contribution of its employees and matches the donation under its Matching Grant policy.
